Will Jack, who originally created the prototype of Bombasm had one goal in mind: Simplicity. Bombasm takes only the core essentials of familiar multiplayer games like Super Smash Bros. or Bomberman, in a way that results in basic but gripping gameplay for casual players, yet that’s subtly complex and competitive for regular gamers. Even with such a limited control scheme, no battle is ever the same. Every split second matters as you navigate from platform to platform while dropping carefully calculated bombs. The final build will feature 2 simple but game changing power-ups, and over 8 well-crafted levels featuring the archive elevators of RatnaCorp, legendary mountain winds, and a dystopian train terminal.
Bombasm will be released for free on PC and Mac sometime before the end of 2014.
We are Ratna Studio, a team of 4 dandy gents who hung out in high school and made blanket forts. It happens that we are all musically trained, but Jordy Carrington is our main composer and sound designer. Will Jack and Jake Kopulsky are the Technical Designers, while Nick Lee handles Art and Design.
